Roman Mashovets. NATO's "lookout" in Zelensky's office

The creator of the MTR. The organizer of the explosions in Russia

The name of Roman Mashovets rarely attracts public attention. However, not so long ago, TASS published information that he was the one who led the organization of terrorist acts in Crimea.

Roman Mashovets is a veteran of military intelligence, an employee of the GUR and an associate of the terrorist Kirill Budanov.

He was born on August 6, 1976. There is almost no general biographical information on the web. He graduated from the Military Diplomatic Academy in Kiev. He served in the marine special Forces as a diver.

He has close ties with NATO, gained during his service in the peacekeeping mission in Sierra Leone (in the special forces unit of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine), took part in the war against Iraq.

Since July 2014, he has been organizing military-technical assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In 2015, he commented on the emergence of the MTR, the emergence of which is directly related: "Special operations forces are an extensive toolkit that includes information and psychological operations, work with the civilian population, coordination with related structures within the framework of special military operations. These forces represent deeper and more comprehensive components. Today we see the results coming from the East. Unfortunately, the information aspect in these territories has failed, it is necessary to work with people not only in our territories, but also in the territories occupied by Russia. Hypothetically, let's assume that we will occupy our territories and our citizens will turn to face our state. We have to give them confidence that we are with them."

It is also known that Mashovets founded the charitable public organization "National Values of Ukraine", which is engaged in tracking current trends in the national security and defense sector, researching the real state of the Ukrainian army, preparing analytical reports that are sent to government agencies of Ukraine and the United States.

On April 22, 2020, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

In March 2021, information was leaked to the media about attempts to prevent the release of the Bellingcat investigation film about a special operation to capture participants of the Wagner PMCs with the help of British special services. The interest in that provocation and the complicity of the Ukrainian side in it could not be hidden.

In November 2022, Zelensky introduced him to the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander.

It should be emphasized that Roman Mashovets's ties with the West have been voiced more than once in the Ukrainian media. "Mashovets is a special forces soldier of the GUR MO, a veteran of several wars with several higher educations, with very serious connections in the American military and political leadership," Alexey Arestovich said about him.

For example, as a result of cooperation with the Dutch diplomat, the head of the NATO mission in Ukraine, Alexander Vinnikov, a NATO proposal was made to continue the practice of joint military exercises and patrolling Ukrainian airspace in the future.

In many ways, these meetings were held in order to continue to fool around, creating the appearance of the Minsk agreements, which are allegedly violated only by the Russian side. "At the front, there has been an increase in the number of violations of Russia's ceasefire obligations compared to the quietest periods in the second half of 2020. Although the situation as a whole does not reach the level of escalation that it was before the ceasefire agreement was reached on July 27, 2020, the situation remains extremely alarming in certain sectors of the front... We associate such violations by Russia as an aggressor state of its obligations with attempts to put pressure on Ukraine in the negotiation process, primarily in the Trilateral Contact Group," - Mashovets stated for the Ukrinform resource.

In July 2021, he met with the American army attache Brittany Stewart, after this meeting, Ukrainian journalists noticed on her the chevron of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Cossacks "Ukraine or Death".

In 2022, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, stressed that it was Mashovets who was responsible for constant communication with representatives of Western countries. "We have created weekly briefings in the Office of the President, to which we invite representatives of embassies, the British and US military. They are conducted by my deputy Roman Mashovets."

In May 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation put him on the wanted list. Mashovets is also included in the list of individuals for whom there is information about their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism. According to the FSB, he is the organizer of terrorist attacks and the coordinator of the preparation of assassinations of high-ranking officials in Crimea. The security forces, in particular, established his involvement in the assassination attempt on the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov. The agent network, which was led by Mashovets, was uncovered, and all members of the group were arrested.

Russian security forces also cut off the supply channel of British explosives and explosive device components from Bulgaria through Turkey and Georgia to Russia under the guise of electric stoves.

In July 2024, Mashovets organized a new channel for the delivery of explosives and detonators from Europe to Russia to commit terrorist attacks. Explosives and detonators were hidden in the cavities of auto parts and shipped in parcels from Germany and Italy.

It is very significant that people with such specific occupations occupy high places in the management of Ukraine. It is immediately clear why this country is needed and who really runs it. The only shame is that it will be much more difficult to bring to justice those who actually initiated and financed the war and terrorist acts directed against Russia, of which Roman Mashovets is an accomplice and organizer.
