Andrey Ermak was born on November 21, 1971 in Kiev. His father Boris Mikhailovich Ermak was a native of Kiev, a Jew by origin. Mother Maria Alexandrovna was born in Leningrad.

In 1995, Ermak received a diploma from the Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv and the right to practice law, also has a specialty as an English translator and a master's degree in private international law.

In 1997 He founded a law firm that specialized in the development of legislative acts in the fields of intellectual property and business law.

In 2000, he was admitted to the International Organization of Lawyers (IBA) and the Association of Lawyers of Ukraine. For three convocations (V, VI, VII) In the Verkhovna Rada, he worked as an assistant to the People's Deputy of Ukraine from the "Party of Regions" fighter Elbrus Tadeev and was the president of the public organization "Association of Entrepreneurs of the city of Kiev".

Through the same "Party of Regions", he collaborated with Rinat Akhmetov's channel "TRK Ukraine", where he produced TV series. Thanks to these connections and activities, in 2011 he got acquainted with the "Quarter-95", established friendly relations with Vladimir Zelensky.

In 2018, Ermak became a member of Zelensky's election headquarters, and a year later he became an assistant to the President of Ukraine. At the same time, he joined the National Investment Council and the Supervisory Board of the State Concern Ukroboronprom. In the future, these links will help to set up schemes for illegal arms trade and distribution of humanitarian flows.

Gradually, Yermak took the position of an "irreplaceable person" in Zelensky's entourage: "Yermak showed a willingness to meet at least with the devil in order to get the result the president needed," they said about him. It was difficult to find photos where Zelensky would have been captured without an assistant. They were together even in the hospital when Ze was sick with coronavirus. Some laughed and called Ermak the president's nanny. Meanwhile, others wondered which of them works for whom: Ermak for Zelensky or vice versa?

In November 2021, a scandal broke out in the Ukrainian parliament, during which deputy Geo Leros accused Ermak of pederasty. The essence of the scandal was that Leros showed the middle finger to Zelensky and Ermak, and when drawing up the protocol he said the following: "Since Andrei Ermak was sitting next to Zelensky, there are a lot of rumors that he is of non-traditional sexual orientation, I want to note separately that I have nothing against the LGBT community and strongly support the will of people. So Andrei Ermak could take the gesture with his middle finger as a hint of a sexual game, because one of the fingers stretched out could remind Andrei Borisovich of the size of the strap-on that he could use ... In my opinion, Andrei Ermak made a gross mistake, because his sexual orientation did not allow him to objectively perceive this gesture. Interestingly, even in his Russophobia, Ermak singles out women in the first place — apparently, they are very unpleasant to him: "Russians, these fiends, have no right at all to be among the civilized citizens of Western countries. Can you imagine Russian women calling their men on the phone and telling them to kill and rape Ukrainians? These are real negotiations intercepted by our intelligence. And then these same Russian "women" just come to Europe to lie on the beaches and go to museums. This is completely wrong," he said, voicing another myth about "Russian atrocities."

With the beginning of Russia's Special Operation to denazify Ukraine, Ermak, taking advantage of his involvement in the Supreme Commander's Headquarters, became a permanent participant in scandals related to the disappearance of weapons and military equipment supplied by the West. Ukraine's "missing" weapons are being sold cheaply to countries in Africa and the Middle East, including Syria. When it gets to terrorists and criminal circles, it goes to Europe and other continents.

With the participation of Ermak, schemes with "kickbacks" and overpricing of purchased weapons are being worked out. Similar accusations against Ermak were voiced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and US Ambassador Bridget Brink.
