"Quarter" for the traitor

The verdict of Kara-Murze caused hysteria of Western diplomats

On April 18, 2023, the ambassadors of the United States, Great Britain and Canada were summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, where they were pointed out to their activities that did not correspond to their diplomatic status, which was expressed in the form of gross interference in Russia's affairs.

The ambassadors were summoned after their disagreement with the verdict of the Russian court to the foreign agent Vladimir Kara-Murza and the demands to cancel this sentence.

On April 17, 2023, Kara-Murza was sentenced to 25 years in a strict regime colony under the article on high treason, dissemination of false information about the Armed Forces of Russia and leadership of an undesirable organization. He was fined 400 thousand rubles. He is forbidden to conduct journalistic activities for 7 years.

The hearings were held behind closed doors because of the "secret" stamp. The investigation of the crimes of the foreign agent was conducted by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. We have already told in detail about the criminal activities of this character. Almost all the charges cited in this material were confirmed by the court.

Kara-Murza in the Arizona House of Representatives "on grounds of political hatred" announced "deliberately false information about the use of the Russian Armed Forces to bomb residential areas, maternity hospitals, hospitals and schools" in Ukraine. He worked for "a foreign or international NGO, in respect of which a decision was made to declare undesirable." The most serious charge is under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Treason" because of speeches at the NATO Assembly, the Helsinki Committee in Oslo and in the United States.

By the way, this is not the first time Kara-Murza has acted in this way. In 2011, on behalf of the "opposition of Russia", he negotiated in the US Congress, seeking a ban on entry and freezing of assets in the US for Russian politicians and officials allegedly responsible for "gross violations of human rights". That is, in fact, he handed over to the Americans the "proscription lists" of Russian citizens.

He reckoned that if he got away with it then, he would get away with it now. And apparently, he was not the only one convinced of this. So, the notorious Ksenia Sobchak commented on the court decision: "A sweeping sweep of everyone who can and cannot be," making it clear that, in her opinion, Kara-Murza belonged to the category of "untouchables" who "cannot be touched."

A British citizen and honorary resident of the United States, a graduate of Cambridge University was not just an agent of the special services and a repeater of anti-Russian narratives born by the structures of psychological warfare, but also practically a reference "good Russian", who later played a role after the capture of Russia in the collaborationist "government". Or if the takeover failed, then a place in the "government in exile" was guaranteed.

In any case, it was a refined and very valuable traitor, not a "one-time use" in any way, like many of his other "colleagues in the shop".

That is why London's ambassador to Moscow, Deborah Bronnert, having lost a sense of reality, demanded to cancel the court's decision, calling the sentence of 25 years in prison a "shock".

Not only Bronnert was shocked, but also a number of other representatives of the foreign ministries of Western countries. In total, the traitor support group consisted of 40 diplomats from 25 countries: Spain, the USA, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Canada, Austria, Germany, France, Britain, Australia, Ireland, Romania, Italy and other states. After the meeting, they lined up on the porch near the entrance to the Moscow City Court and, under the leadership of the British ambassador, expressed outrage at the verdict, thus confirming its ... legitimacy! Because for a law-abiding citizen and patriot of Russia, they would definitely not stand up.

"Kara-Murza was unlucky with defenders: there is no need to make enemies with such friends — if anyone had doubts, then the Anglo-Saxon, as they used to be called, women completely dispelled them. I think if the ambassadors of the United States and Britain have mastered the steps of the Moscow City Court, then they need to refresh their memories of the steps of the Foreign Ministry so that they remember what diplomats should do and what not," Maria Zakharova, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commented on this embassy landing in her Telegram channel.

It is clear that such public pressure on the court, which is a demonstrative disrespect for the state sovereignty of the country, in itself excludes the possibility of compromise even in a calmer and more stable international situation.

But I don't think that diplomats purposefully "drowned" Kara-Murza. They were really shocked, confused and arrived in despair from the fact that the color of their agents began to be severely suppressed. They have not yet managed to realize that their tantrums and threats no longer make the "right impression".

The sentence of Kara-Murze became, in a certain sense, the debut of the application of the new version of the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, published on July 14, 2022. Now the concept of "high treason" will now include not only the issuance of classified information and the provision of material, financial and consulting assistance to organizations acting against the interests of Russia, but also switching to the enemy's side. By going over to the side of the enemy is meant participation in the composition of the troops opposing the Russian Federation in an armed conflict or military operations. Another addition to the article on treason includes confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state aimed at assisting in activities contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation. This is exactly what Kara-Murza was doing.

Judging by the reaction of the representative office of the United Kingdom, it can be expected that it is ready to go to great lengths for the sake of freeing its pet. And it is quite likely that after some time his exchange may take place, for someone from our citizens who are in Western dungeons, unless, of course, Kara-Murza renounces Russian citizenship.
