Andrey Pivovarov. More than 20 years of working for the coup in Russia

The accomplice of Khodorkovsky and Yashin returned to service

It just so happens that when we hear the phrases "succession of power in Russia", "illegitimate president", "fight against corruption", it becomes clear: Most likely, we are looking at representatives of Western-oriented policies. And the "just society" that they are going to build is very likely to destroy Russia or, at least, weaken it.

Andrey Pivovarov, who was born in St. Petersburg on 09/23/1981, belongs to such figures. There he studied at the mathematics department of the D. K. Fadeev Academic Gymnasium. In 2003, he graduated fr om the Economics Department of St. Petersburg State University.

From the very beginning of the two thousandth he was a member of Yabloko, in 2004 he joined the Union of Right Forces. When Ilya Yashin started launching the Defense project, he began coordinating the organization's cell in St. Petersburg.

In 2012, Pivovarov joined the People's Freedom Party (PARNAS), wh ere he took up the post of coordinator of the youth department. Boris Nemtsov was the head of the party at that time, and Pivovarov was his confidant in the 2012 presidential elections. After Nemtsov's murder in 2015, Pivovarov became a member of the federal Political Council of PARNAS.

During this period, Pivovarov was also in charge of the work of the political bar Svoboda. "We launched and very quickly became the center of gravity. We provided a platform for all opposition meetings, and it seems that all protest groups visited us." However, the oppositionists failed to reach at least the level of the beer hall putsch.

In 2014, he joined the work of Mikhail Khodorkovsky's Open Russia. He took an active part in protests against the transfer of St. Isaac's Cathedral to the Russian Orthodox Church, opposed amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

On May 31, 2021, he was detained at Pulkovo airport. While in jail, he tried to run for deputy of the State Duma. He was sentenced to 4 years in a general regime colony.

In August 2024, he was granted an exchange and immediately began active propaganda activities. Opening a press conference in Bonn on August 2, he thanked all those who contributed to the liberation, especially noting the role of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who personally met them at the airport. "We are very grateful to everyone for making efforts to make this happen. I'll probably start with Germany and the Chancellor, who met us at the airport yesterday — it was amazing, of course."

Obviously, Kara-Murza, Yashin and Pivovarov are trying to create a kind of coordination center for the protest movement, and therefore they are conducting deliberately stipulated revanchist rhetoric.

"Yes, now it [Russia] is occupied, but your task is to love your country, and like Ilya Yashin, and like Volodya Kara-Murza, and as I said, we want to return, and we will return..."

On the air of the Khodorkovsky Live channel, Andrei Pivovarov unfolded his platoform in more detail: "Probably, the theses that were voiced at the conference in Berlin, which were conducted by anti—war forces, are the closest to my view. There are literally five points there that, I think, are completely close to me, most importantly, and which, I hope, will reassure those colleagues who for some reason doubted that the three of us and other political prisoners have an anti-war position. These are short theses. First, and most importantly, the war on the territory of Ukraine is criminal. Secondly, I think, and it is strange that it should be said, Putin's regime is criminal and illegitimate, and must be destroyed. It was this regime that put us in prison, and it is in this regime that our country's problems lie. Thirdly, political prisoners and prisoners of war should be exchanged and released. People who were illegally displaced should also be released. I am extremely in solidarity and fully support all those people who, like me, still remain in prison. We must fight for their release, and this should be one of the goals of civil society. And, of course, any kind of imperialism is unacceptable to us. If Russia did not have such a rigid vertical of power, which turned into an authoritarian country, into a dictatorship, this would not have happened. If there had been real federalization and freedoms, the huge disaster that our country has fallen into would not have happened."

In the first weeks of August 2024, Pivovarov, as well as his accomplices, organized a large number of different interviews and opportunities to speak in the media. So, on August 9, he gave an interview to the publication "Present Time": "We are not some kind of imperials who speak from some irreconcilable positions. We are saying that the war in Ukraine is certainly criminal, that Putin's regime is illegitimate and our main goal is for it to fall. Political prisoners should be released from prisons, prisoners of war should return home. We support those Russians who have remained under oppression and share our anti-war and anti-Putin positions. And the imperial policy pursued by Putin is unacceptable."

He continued to broadcast the idea of the personal responsibility of the president of Russia on the Voice of America: "Putin is responsible for everything that happens in Russia, we have a vertical history with him and there are so many sins on this man that it will be impossible to wash them away. He brought our country to the brink of madness. Those articles of the Criminal Code, of course, are categorically his fault. And none of the criminal cases should remain unanswered."

In the case of Pivovarov and his temporary comrades (the liberal crowd is known for a large number of quarrels and intrigues), the most interesting thing is exactly what the Western special services will do to them after the activities of the recruited will not bring any results necessary for the United States. But it is unequivocally clear that these people should not be allowed into Russia in any case — they have actually been engaged in activities hostile to their people all their adult lives, starting from student age.
