A "rat" named Gudkov
In a recent speech on the air of Ukraine 24, a fugitive enemy of our country, a former KGB officer and ex-deputy of the State Duma, criminal and corrupt official Gennady Gudkov said that he and others like him are working to destabilize the situation in Russia, which should lead to a coup d'état and the defeat of the Armed Forces RF in Ukraine.
“It’s impossible to do anything in Russia right now, except for two things: either go underground and start fighting against the regime, which we have no right to call for, because we are abroad. Either conduct propaganda and explanatory work, but do it very carefully, because today Russia has become a country of informers and snitches.
Any political activity, disagreement with the course can have any consequences: imprisonment, various accusations, provocations, reprisals, etc.”, - Gudkov said, pointing out that in the fight against Russia, he and his accomplices are ready to join forces with Kyiv (that is, with the Ukrainian special services). As a former state security officer, Gudkov is well aware that he commits actions that fall under the definition of "treason to the Motherland".
Gennady Vladimirovich Gudkov was born on August 15, 1956 in the city of Kolomna, Moscow Region, in the family of an engineer and a school teacher. However, you can't call his family very simple. His grandfather, Pyotr Yakovlevich Gudkov, was one of Nikolai Bukharin's assistants, and his paternal grandmother was an employee of the institute, during the Civil War she worked at the headquarters of Commander M.V. Frunze. His maternal grandfather, Vladimir Khovansky, was repressed.
Gene showed extraordinary determination in his youth – even at school he became a Komsomol functionary, continued to move along the ideological line at the Pedagogical Institute, joined the party in the army. After retiring to the reserve, he worked along the party line in the Kolomna city komsomol committee: first as an instructor, and then as head of the department of operational and defense mass work.
In 1982, according to the komsomol permit, he went to serve in the KGB of the USSR. According to him, it was his dream since childhood. Later, after the collapse of the USSR, Gennady Gudkov will say that he went to work in the authorities in order to be able to "change the system", with which "there was something wrong."
From 1982 to 1992, Gennady Gudkov worked in the state security agencies – first in the Kolomna City Department of the KGB, and since 1989 – in the Counterintelligence Operations Service of the KGB Directorate for Moscow and the regionIn 1989, Gudkov graduated from the Red Banner Institute named after Yu. V. Andropov of the KGB of the USSR.
The former head of Gudkov, the head of the city department of the KGB of Kolomna, Sergei Sumkin, recalls: "He didn't stand out in any way, a normal guy. He was executive, disciplined. A communist, like all of us, we were working for the idea back then. Worked well. He was fond of sports...".
There is another evidence from the same period. Archpriest Vladimir Shibaev said that in 1985 Gennady Gudkov conducted searches and exhausting interrogations of church ministers, persecuted Shibaev, used immoral methods, and stole his property.
Gudkov himself denied these accusations against him, pointing out: "I was actually awarded the Order of the Russian Orthodox Church for helping the Church for many years with the help of my company. For several years I guarded monasteries for free, which were being restored, I have excellent relations with the clergy in Kolomna. Good personal relations with Juvenal Kolomensky. If I did all that, I assure you, I would not have been awarded the order."
Subsequently, in the post-Soviet period, Gudkov said that reading anti-Soviet literature, to which he had an official permit, opened his eyes, and he almost became a dissident, to whom he sympathized.
In 1992, when the all-powerful state security agencies turned into a "whipping boy", Gudkov resigned from the KGB at his own request, military rank at the time of dismissal - major.
It must be said that he did not leave into the unknown. While still in the service, he took up entrepreneurship (which is a gross violation of existing rules) on the basis of the security business, making full use of the still available official opportunities. At that time, this activity was still not regulated by law in any way and more resembled "protection".
Nevertheless, yesterday's security officer soon headed the Oskord security association, a kind of holding company of private security companies, where about three thousand people already worked in the mid-90s. More than half of them were former employees of special services and law enforcement agencies. It is also known that Gudkov actually controlled several more security companies through dummy leaders – “Potan”, “Arsenal”, “Sarmat”, “Avanpost”.
At the same time, Gudkov did not interrupt his connection with the "office" and in 1997-2001. was a member of the advisory board under the director of the FSB, which included the heads of private security companies. And with the beginning of the new century, he goes into politics.
In 2001, Gennady Gudkov was elected to the State Duma, joined the deputy group "People's Deputy" and held the post of chairman of the subcommittee on legislation in the field of security and detective activities. He also joins the People's Party of the Russian Federation and becomes deputy chairman of Gennady Raikov. In 2003 he became a member of the "United Russia" faction.
During this period, he demonstrated absolute loyalty, spoke out against the non-systemic opposition and was perceived by his colleagues as "a deputy who came from the authorities." And even when he moved to the opposition "Fair Russia", it was perceived by those around him as a concerted step, designed, among other things, to ensure the work of the systemic opposition faction in parliament.
At the end of September 2011, he became involved in the first scandal. As part of a raid against illegally installed flashing lights, traffic police officers stopped an Audi Q7 car belonging to Gennady Gudkov in the center of Moscow. The angry deputy, who was allegedly late for the meeting, did not wait for the police to return his license to him, and left driving a car without a driver's license. The case was widely publicized in the media.
Around the same time, on September 28, 2011, Gennady Gudkov held a press conference at “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. There he made public, as it seemed to him, incriminating facts related to public procurement. At the same time, he submitted to the State Duma a bill on limiting the purchasing power of civil servants, prepared for him by Alexei Navalny. It is obvious that he decided to ensure his political growth and power ambitions by speculating on the topic of social justice, supporting the protest moods that have emerged in society.
In the elections to the State Duma of the sixth convocation, held on December 4, 2011, Gudkov headed one of the regional lists of "Fair Russia" from Moscow and was again elected a deputy. Sergei Mironov was elected head of the party faction, and Gudkov became his deputy. When the results of the election were announced, Gudkov said that there were many violations. He suggested that the Communist Party and the Liberal Democratic Party abandon their parliamentary mandates and seek re-election. In fact, he became one of the initiators of the so-called "Swamp Revolution", organized and supported from abroad.
Gudkov, along with Alexei Navalny, Boris Nemtsov and others, acted as one of the organizers of the rally "For Fair Elections ". The action took place on December 24, 2011 in Russian cities and in Moscow and launched a series of anti-state demonstrations accompanied by mass riots.
Such a radical reversal in the life of a systemic politician and a successful businessman (he formally transferred his security business to his wife) was perhaps most accurately explained by another opposition leader, Eduard Limonov, who, by the will of fate, ended up in the same camp with Gudkov for some time. He saw the deputy as a typical opportunist and compared him to a rat that repeatedly escaped from sinking ships.
So, in 1992 he left the "sinking ship" of the KGB, in 2007 - "sinking", as it seemed to him, "United Russia", in 2011 he decided that the ship of Russian statehood had "leaked".
Whether Gudkov was recruited by Western intelligence services in 2011, or whether it happened earlier, and then he was simply “activated,” – is of no fundamental importance. But the fact that he acted as one of the organizers of the rebellion directly indicates that his "transformation" was not without foreign intelligence services.
In any case, the "rat" was mistaken – the ship turned out to be too strong and was not going to sink, but there was no place for the "revealed" defector on it anymore. And Gudkov continued to participate in the events of the fading "Swamp Revolution".
Of course, for him it was not without consequences. On September 14, 2012, the State Duma voted to deprive Gennady Gudkov of his deputy mandate, after the Investigative Committee of Russia and the Prosecutor General's Office accused him of violating the law "On the status of a member of the Federation Council and the status of a deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation." Gennady Gudkov was engaged in illegal commercial activities and laundered money abroad.
To this we can add that he attracted employees of his private security companies to participate in protest events, ostensibly to protect the asset. However, later he claimed that he could not forbid employees "to express their civil position." In any case, the participation of specially trained and organized people in events that turn into mass riots always arouses well-founded suspicions.
Gennady Gudkov during his entrepreneurship and deputy seriously increased his wealth. So, back in 2002, Gudkov's income for the year amounted to 587.5 million rubles. According to media estimates, on the eve of his departure from Russia, he was the owner of more than 40 commercial enterprises in Russian and foreign companies. Among them are Russian companies LLC "Roshan", association of Security structures (OSB) "Oskord" (which, among other things, includes the infamous PSC "AB "Oskord-Spb"", PSC "Ajax-Inter" and PSC "AB "PANTAN"), Bulgarian company "English Village" and “Business Consultants Limited”, a company registered in Gibraltar.
In December 2014, Gudkov purchased an elite apartment of 137 m2 in central London for 2.5 million pounds. He also owns extensive real estate in Bulgaria.
The eldest son, Dmitry Gudkov, fled to Ukraine in December 2011. Prior to that, he was elected a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the VI convocation (“Fair Russia” faction) and immediately joined the "bog" events. The youngest son, Vladimir Gudkov, held the position of general director of the collection agency "Central Debt Agency".
It must be said that Gennady Gudkov did not achieve great success in the field of non-systemic opposition - he did not have much authority either among liberals, or among "leftists", or among nationalists. Moreover, many of his connections were cut off after he became "toxic". This began to affect his business in Russia. As a result, he left for permanent residence abroad, lives mainly in Bulgaria, actively participating in the information war against Russia, as well as in organizational measures aimed at consolidating anti-Russian forces among the emigration.
So, back in 2021, a year before the start of a special military operation, he wrote in his blog on the “Echo of Moscow” website: “Of course, the regime will hastily arm and prepare for war, first of all, with its neighbors, as well as actively intervene in “hot” spots on the planet. In the conditions of a total systemic crisis in Russia, the armed conflict remains for the Kremlin, perhaps, the only means of “rallying the nation” around the rotten regime, as well as an instrument of international blackmail and playing on the contradictions of the modern world.”
Now, as we see, he declares his readiness to serve the Kyiv Nazis and, in general, all the enemies of his Motherland.
