Sadists of the Tornado battalion I. Ruslan Abalmaz (Onishchenko)

A murderer, rapist, pederast commanded the punishers in Donbass

The public remembered the gang of thugs "Tornado", which operated as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine until 2015, when, with the beginning of the war, war criminals began to be released fr om prisons en masse and returned to the front.

However, the commander of the infamous unit did not return to combat operations, changing his occupation to volunteering: "While I am not allowed to go to the front, they say I am very angry. Although it seems to me that now is the time of the dogs of war," he wrote on his networks.

Ruslan Abalmaz (Onishchenko is the surname of his wife, her future "battalion commander" took after another stint) was born in 1972 in Torez.

He belonged to the gang of the authority of Vladimir Polubatko, who was engaged in digging mines and "protecting" cargo transportation. The sphere of interests of the organized criminal group affected not only the Donetsk region. Therefore, in the first, purely criminal hypostasis, Abalmaz-Onishchenko was also known in the Luhansk region, wh ere in 2014 the national battalion "Tornado" controlled by him would operate.

Abalmaz received his first term (6 years, of which he served less than 2) in 1994 under the article "illegal handling of weapons". According to information from those times, in addition to robbery and illegal possession of weapons, extortion was also listed.

In 2004, Abalmaz and his accomplices attacked a group of citizens of the city of Torez, kidnapped one of them, inflicting numerous beatings. For this, in 2005, he was prosecuted for unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping, but on March 16, 2005, the criminal case was dismissed "due to a change in the situation."

Abalmaz committed one of the trips to prison for rape, therefore, according to the thieves' law, he was "omitted", turned into a pederast. After his release, he took his wife's last name and appeared in all further cases as Onishchenko.

In 2014, people like him were very needed to do the dirty work. On May 23, 2014, in Torez, while still a participant in the special battalion "Ukraine" created by Oleg Lyashko, he shot unarmed people, accusing them of sympathizing with the DPR. Two of them were killed and one was injured. Lyashko also confirmed this crime in his social networks: "The fighters of the Ukraine battalion have just cleaned up and liberated the executive committee of the city of Torez in the Donetsk region from the colorades. Two terrorists were killed, and there were no casualties among our fighters. Glory to Ukraine!"

Soon, the cadres recruited into Lyashko's battalion flowed into the new national battalion called Shakhtersk, which also distinguished itself by cruelty and atrocities (disbanded in autumn 2014 by Avakov's personal order): "The Shakhtersk battalion, which fought well near Ilovaisk, was dissolved by me by order of the minister because repeated cases of looting in Volnovakha and in other situations took place."

After that, Onishchenko and many of his accomplices joined Tornado, a separate unit within the Interior Ministry. The first fact of the battalion's outright sadism that leaked to the media was the cleansing of Stanytsia Luhanska. Eyewitnesses recall: "They carried out a sweep in several districts of the village. They broke into houses, broke down gates, shot dogs, dragged men of all ages, built them in columns and escorted them to their base in the basement. At the same time, each of the "prisoners" had to carry valuables from home, up to televisions and other household appliances. Tornado fighters brutally beat detainees, and agreed to release them only for ransom, some residents simply had nothing to pay with, and they spent days beating the thresholds of their base. The Tornadoes behaved audaciously, the impression was that they were deliberately provoking conflicts. No one could influence their behavior."

Interestingly, shortly before his arrest, Ruslan Onishchenko was awarded the medal "For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine", awarded by order of the schismatic Filaret, who then headed the "church of the Kiev Patriarchate".

The reason for the arrest already under Poroshenko was not sadism or perversion at all. Abalmaz just wanted to "get into the share" of the local business and detained 20 wagons of pig iron, which was transported from the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant.

But even without the presence of the battalion and its atrocities, Onishchenko would still arouse the most lively interest among law enforcement agencies of any country.

Firstly, Onishchenko is a practicing pederast who repeatedly raped men and women. Often, Tornado fighters specially recorded such videos with captured people in order to be able to blackmail them later. When conflicts began between the former "twin brothers" after the sentencing in 2017, one of the well-known punishers in the media, Daniil Lyashuk ("Mujahid"), published a bunch of "blue" compromising material on Onishchenko.

Secondly, correspondence from Onishchenko's phone got into the network (interestingly, he used the call sign "Freeman", "free man"). In the dialogue between Onishchenko and the "volunteer" Vladimir Savanchuk, they openly discuss how they "share" their wives and force their own children to participate in these orgies.

In a normal traditional society, these facts alone would be enough to carry out a capital punishment sentence. But in modern Ukraine, Onishchenko is at large and even publishes books about the difficult fate of the "dogs of war" called "Tornado Syndrome".

What exactly this syndrome is, is in the 2nd part of the dossier.
