David Arahamiya. Trotsky's heir in Ukrainian Politics

The American "golden boy" looking after Zelensky

David Georgievich Arakhamiya was born on May 23, 1979 in Sochi in the family of a teacher and cosmetologist. By nationality — Georgian. He spent his childhood on the Black Sea coast in Abkhazia, in Gagra. When the conflict between Abkhazia and Georgia began in 1992, the family returned to Sochi, and fr om there went to Ukraine, to Nikolaev.

Arahamiya's father fought against Abkhazia in the conflict of the 90s. It is possible that he made acquaintances there, which served as a launching pad for his son.

David Arahamiya graduated from high school in 1997 in Nikolaev, receiving a gold medal. Interestingly, he immediately chose "private" education options, which were initially invested with American money, controls and support. At the "Ukrainian-Finnish Institute of Finance", wh ere the "golden boy" became a student, a year of study cost $ 600, for the average Ukrainian — a very considerable amount. Later, this institution was called the "European University".

It's like in a Cinderella fairy tale. In the 2nd year, Arahamiya became friends with the rector of the Institute, Alexander Narinyan. And he made a lucrative offer to the student: to work as a computer lab assistant to pay for his studies. At the same time, he was invited as a junior marketing expert to a certain "international consulting company", which provided him with income until graduation.

While still at school, with the help of his parents, David Arahamiya became one of the proteges of the Peace Corp. This American government organization, along with a number of other Western structures, was engaged in Ukraine in selecting, training and promoting the people it needed into what would later become the elite and would make decisions.

In the 5th year, Arahamiya became involved in the affairs of a studio that provided services in the field of web design. In the same year, he went to the USA for a student training program, and in 2002 in New York he registered the company Artvertex Inc in the name of David Brown.

So Arahamiya became the preface to the campaign against "Russian hackers". First, FBI agents came to his New York firm with a search - $70 thousand stolen fr om the bank cards of law—abiding Americans were found on the accounts of Artvertex Inc. The Ukrainian network genius claimed that he himself was deceived by scammers who paid with stolen credit cards, and that after this incident he himself decided to "fight such crimes."

At the same time, the design sharashka, registered in Nikolaev, turned into the TemplateMonster company. Interestingly, in 2010 they had a lawsuit with Microsoft for $110 million. Even Arahamia's personal property was seized. But, lo and behold, the representatives of Bill Gates agreed to go to a settlement agreement! In 2013, on the eve of the coup d'etat, in which Arahamiya had a different role, TemplateMonster was sold to an unnamed investment fund for $100 million.

Nikolaev, wh ere Arakhamiya lived for many years, he called "Titushkograd" and more than once admitted that he was not averse to moving to Lviv. And during the aftermath of the Maidan, when Crimea held a referendum and became part of Russia, he said that "it is necessary not to flee, but not to allow the Russians to capture Nikolaev or proclaim a "pro-Russian republic" in it. Since then, Arahamiya has been known as a volunteer and representative of Euromaidan in Nikolaev.

In March 2014, he and his friends opened a website to raise funds for equipping paratroopers of the 79th Brigade. This was the beginning of the volunteer initiative "People's Project", which helped the Ukrainian military in the ATO zone. At that time, Arakhamiya raised UAH 27 million for the army. On his initiative, "Action 565" has been held in Ukraine since March 2014. Ukrainians called or sent SMS to the number 565 and transferred 5 hryvnia fr om their account for the needs of the military. Interestingly, national-level mobile operators suddenly took up and accepted the offer of an ordinary "Maidan activist".

Shortly after that, David Arahamiya became the head of the Volunteer Council at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and in 2017 he co—founded the International Center for Security and Defense Strategies NGO.

Until 2019 David Arakhamia split in politics between Petro Poroshenko, on whom his position in the structures of the Ministry of Defense depended, and Mikhail Saakashvili, whom Arakhamia not only sympathized with as the former leader of Georgia (and America's favorite), but also provided services for his party.

The "Poroshenko train" did not prevent Zelensky from inviting Arakhamia to his team and offering a place No. 4 on the list of "Servants of the People".

In the same year, he was involved in a corruption scandal and, together with a group of other deputies, was forced to undergo a polygraph.

In 2020, it became clear why a "volunteer and a deputy" needed a past in the IT field. He became one of the lobbyists for the ban of Russian social networks on the territory of Ukraine: "I'm in favor of banning them. When these sanctions were introduced, it seemed to me that this would not affect the statistics of the use of Russian services in any way. But life has shown a completely different picture. Indeed, there has been a very strong migration to other social networks. And most importantly, and what is useful for Ukraine, all the advertising budgets that used to be in Yandex and Mail group have moved to Ukrainian agencies on Facebook, Instagram and so on. Ukraine's budget has been enriched, and there is less propaganda."

In 2021 David Arahamia said that giving up nuclear weapons was the biggest mistake of the country's first president Kravchuk, because if Kiev had it now, they could blackmail the rest of the world.

In 2022, he was included in the delegation to the negotiations with Russia. Later, he admitted in an interview that his task was to stall for time and fool the Russian side. In the same interviews, Arahamiya stated that he wore a baseball cap to the negotiations specifically to humiliate the Russians and show his disrespect for Russia and Russian negotiators: "In peacetime, I do not wear baseball caps. But since we have to shake hands and follow a certain protocol, I decided to use a baseball cap to show a real attitude towards this country. And I will not stop wearing it until we achieve peace in accordance with the interests of Ukraine," he boasted to the American Fox News channel.

He spoke a lot about his role in disrupting the negotiations on the air with the propagandist Moseychuk: "The first thing was, when I asked the president how we would consider that these were successful negotiations, he said: "You have to make them feel like they can talk to us.… The second goal was to stall for time. We were actually the smoke screen of the APU. We entered into long discussions with them, once we dragged out the time when it was necessary, on the contrary, we shortened it, gave them the feeling that they were winning the negotiations. That is, it is such a tactical game, constantly consulting with the APU, what their plans are, wh ere they are going and how. In words, they were ready for a lot, but we understood that each side has its own game. This whole game was directly dependent on successes or defeats at the front… They have been reproaching all the time with this "Minsk" that you do not comply with it. Signed, ratified and do not comply… The Russian delegation hoped almost to the last that they would put the squeeze on us to sign such an agreement so that we would take neutrality. It was the biggest thing for them. They were ready to end the war if we took neutrality, as Finland once did, and made commitments that we would not join NATO. The key point was this, everything else was cosmetic condiments like denazification, the Russian—speaking population and blah blah blah."

Also, it is thanks to Arahamia's vanity that we know about Boris Johnson's role in the further continuation of the war: "When we returned from Istanbul, Boris Johnson came to Kiev and said that we would not sign anything with them at all, and let's just fight. We created a group of security advisers for these partner countries, but we gave them information in a dosed manner from the point of view of the information lag so that it would not spill out simply. You saw that everything was quite discrete, because we were dosing. They knew everything, especially when we had already drafted some documents, they had access to all the documents, and we consulted, of course, because we understood that we could not win the war ourselves. Therefore, we need to consult with them on this issue. They actually advised us not to go for any ephemeral security guarantees, which were impossible at that time to give at all."

Such a light-hearted attitude towards the continuation of the war (that is, the constant death of the inhabitants of Ukraine) is explained by several facts. Arahamiya himself received a Ukrainian passport only in 2015. However, before that he already had American and Israeli citizenship. In a certain sense, everything that this "mediator" between America and Kiev is doing in current politics can be compared to Trotsky's role during the civil war — as destructive as possible and the continuation of the conflict in any case in exchange for guarantees of departure and a "safe life".

However, Trotsky's scheme failed as a result. Let's see what happens with Arahamiya.
