"Ligalayz" Menshikov. The traitor has lost his popularity

"Ligalayz" Menshikov. The traitor has lost his popularity

Russophobe thanks Poles who didn't let him on the plane

On September 29, 2023, at the airport of Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, Russian citizens were not allowed on the plane of the Polish airline LOT, having previously sold them tickets and seat reservations. Such petty dirty tricks fr om the countries of the Western bloc (even among them Poland stands out for its Russophobia) against Russians have long become familiar.

However, this episode is notable for the fact that among the passengers who were not allowed on board the plane, there was a certain Andrey Menshikov, known as the rapper "Ligalayz", who is a citizen of the Russian Federation. The piquancy of the situation was that in terms of its hatred of Russia, Ligalayz would give odds to any average Pole.

Even the lawlessness of the Polish company, he met, one might say, with delight, writing that he "does not feel negative and is ready to bear responsibility" for the actions of his native country.

Such a willingness to "treat with understanding" humiliation and discrimination on the basis of nationality offended even the fans of the performer. However, he has fewer and fewer fans in the country he curses.

Many of those who previously listened to the rapper, now reasonably consider him a traitor and renegade. At the request of citizens, on August 1, 2023, the Moscow prosecutor's office began checking the rapper for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3. of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation). The issue of recognizing the musician as a foreign agent is also being considered.

By this time, the performer was already outside of Russia — at the beginning of July 2023, he left the territory of Russia. He did it a day before the release of his music video "Peace! Yours! Home!", outraged the Russians.

The Russian soldiers in the clip are shown as bloodthirsty orcs, and Bandera — beautiful knights. In the clip, you can see destroyed buildings, people with televisions instead of heads holding posters with the letter Z, and people standing near the monument to Prince Vladimir in Moscow who turn into tombstones.

In addition, the video is edited so that Dmitry Peskov and Yevgeny Prigozhin turn into orcs, and Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko turn into clowns. Also in the video flash people with anti-Russian posters and footage from the trial of extremist Alexei Navalny.

"When the iron-feathered crows of discord woke up, viciously drawing Z-patterns in the clouds, we should tell the whole district shame on them. You are looters, thieves and no longer heroes," Ligalayz chants.

The departure of the performer on the eve of the release of the clip clearly indicates that Menshikov was well aware of the criminality of his actions, for which he would have to answer. "Well, what's wrong with that? unwashed!" he wrote on social networks in farewell, referring to his former homeland.

It is surprising that law enforcement agencies are interested in the provocateur only now. After all, since February 24, 2022, since the beginning of the Special Military Operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, he has taken an active anti-Russian position and joined the information war against our country. Moreover, he himself told about it.

"I had a ready-made clip, and there was a text something like: "You are in the epicenter of a kiloton bomb explosion." I think: "Well, how can I release it now?!" And that's it: obligations to the issuing company, the release schedule. And in the video there are some bullets, some planes flying. I didn't know what to do with it, I asked to launch all these bullets and planes in the opposite direction and add the watermark "Stop the war". He added the Ukrainian flag and wrote at the end: "It's better to listen to aggressive music and do good. D.O.B does not approve of Russian aggression, we are for peace," Ligalayz said in an interview with Novaya Gazeta, which ceased its activities in Russia, published in December 2022.

In the same interview, he speaks extremely negatively about his fellow citizens.

"I am convinced that anything can be fed to our people, everyone gets it. I really wanted the world not to be afraid of us, not to consider us aggressive cretins, morons underdeveloped. I could not imagine such a caricatured return to the Soviet nightmare. But no, people are like sheep walking into the same trap," the performer announced.

"I probably don't understand something, but I was very surprised when, after the anti-war posts, I was directly seriously attacked. I have hundreds of thousands of subscribers in the inst, and right after February 24, I write: "No war" on a black background and the word "shock". I didn't have any other words at the time, because it was a really strong shock. And it started: "Wh ere have you been for eight years?" — and so on fr om people to whom I have just issued a protest album, wh ere I say about all this: "More blood, more Salisbury and Syria, / More Donbass, Crimea, more evil for Russia, / So that we are not around at all they rescheduled / So that we would finally close ourselves off from everyone, led by the messiah." Much clearer. I was so discouraged, it seemed to me that we were speaking the same language," he lamented about the mass support for Russophobia even among his listeners.

Having already left Russia, Ligalayz gave an interview to the foreign agent Mikhail Kozyrev, in which he told about his flight.

"I thought that my militia homeland would not let me go. I flew for 12 hours with transfers, because there is no direct agreement. But I got there. They say when you go to a foreign land, you feel like a stranger. But when I came here and saw flags everywhere in support of Ukraine, I realized that I was in Russia in a foreign land, and here I am at home among normal people," Ligalayz said.

In such cases, the question always arises: what led this person to betrayal?

And the answer turns out to be quite typical: pride, exorbitant ambitions and lack of solid moral foundations. The former popularity of the performer began to fade. And his "breakthrough" into politics was an attempt to attract attention, expand the audience, and feel success again. There is every reason to believe that this idea was suggested to him by those who organize the mental component of a hybrid war against Russia. They perfectly understand the importance of show business in this sense, and especially its subcultural and youth component. And Menshikov had neither the wit nor the conscience not to be a tool in the wrong hands.
