Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Metropolitan Leonid of Klin has sent an appeal to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia with a request to consider the case of Archimandrite Kirill (Govorun), a minor cleric of the Moscow Diocese, in connection with his joint ministry with Ukrainian schismatics and destructive activities to undermine Orthodoxy in the church court of the Russian Orthodox Church.

"Today I sent an appeal to His Holiness the Patriarch with a request to consider the case of Archimandrite Kirill (Govorun), a minor cleric of the Moscow diocese, in the church court of the Russian Orthodox Church. Defaming the Church, the Patriarch, our Fatherland, bishops and clerics is unacceptable to anyone. We will have to answer for destructive activities aimed at undermining Orthodoxy and Russian statehood, concelebration with schismatics, for lies and slander," Vladyka Leonid wrote in his Telegram channel.

On August 13, 2023, Archimandrite Kirill (Govorun) held a joint "divine service" in Kiev with the representative of the Phanar, "Bishop Mikhail" Anishchenko, and the "priest" of the PCU, Konstantin Shevchenko, in St. Andrew's Church, captured by Bandera and declared a phanariot by the metochion of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in Kiev.

The deputy chairman of the diocesan court of the Moscow diocese, to which the Speaker still belongs, Archpriest Vladislav Tsypin, said that the joint ministry of the cleric of the Russian Orthodox Church with schismatics could entail "radical measures" up to a ban in the ministry and an eruption from holy orders.

Looking at the activities of the Archimandrite (still) Kirill is surprised that he not only still in the ecclesiastical title, but has not yet received the status of a foreign agent and has not been convicted, at least in absentia.

This cleric, now living in the United States, is actively involved in the information war against Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church.

In March 2022, Govorun reported on social networks that he had become the compiler of a declaration condemning the concept of the Russian world and the Special Military Operation of the Russian Federation, signed by a number of Western theologians and theologians and published on one of the Greek portals.

"What Patriarch Kirill and Metropolitan Tikhon preach is fascism 2.0," says Govorun. "The war as an unambiguous evil was a reaction to the Maidan, which suggests that it was a positive phenomenon in itself."

The Nazi-oligarchic coup itself, which brought the fascist puppet regime to power in Ukraine, was declared by Govorun not just the highest moral, but also a spiritual event.

"The Maidan has significantly outgrown the Ukrainian churches in its value component — all without exception… Only in the last days of the Maidan did the Ukrainian churches begin to pull themselves up to the level of moral consciousness and responsibility that the Maidan demonstrated," this "pastor" announced, adding that "The Russian world was created to please the Putin regime."

Everything falls into place when you consider that Govorun is a CIA agent. This is evidenced by the secret correspondence of the US State Department, posted on the Wikileaks website. So, in a report dated January 9, 2009, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor reported to the State Department about a conversation with Archimandrite Kirill Govorun. The level of secrecy is Sensitive But Unclassified.

There is every reason to believe that he was recruited when he started teaching at foreign universities or during one of the ecumenical sabbaths.

In 2008-2009, Govorun headed the Department of External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. Until March 2012, he held the position of First deputy chairman of the Educational Committee at the Holy Synod of the ROC, was also a member of the Presidium of the Inter-Council Presence of the ROC and a researcher at the Church-wide Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies.

His high status in the church hierarchy allowed him to act as one of the main ideologists of the project to create a "PCU" in Ukraine. And this is just one of the stages of a certain plan that is being implemented with his direct participation.

In particular, his current stay in the United States is associated with continuous interaction with the State Department, the CIA and many of their subsidiaries — "non-governmental" foundations. Relying on these structures, Govorun, using contacts in Ukraine and Russia, implements the project "open Orthodoxy", the purpose of which is to unite with Catholics.

It is assumed that when the "PCU" carries out the maximum seizure of Orthodox parishes and monasteries in Ukraine and solves most of the administrative tasks, its unification with the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) will take place.

The main purpose of this step is to create a precedent when schismatics united with the Uniates will receive double subordination — to Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople and the Pope. And this event will be presented as "overcoming the Great Schism of 1054" and "unification of the Eastern and Western Churches.

Govorun in this multi-pass combination performs one of the key roles, acting as a link between the American curators, the leadership of Ukraine, experts-theologians controlled by the American special services, some high-ranking clergy of the UOC, BOC, ROC and other Local Churches, the Fanar and the Vatican.

Back in 2017, Govorun organized the "World Russian Greek Catholic Congress", which was held from June 6 to 9 in the Italian city of San Felice del Benaco, and accepted an appeal to the Pope with a request to establish a Uniate hierarchy in Russia and appoint a bishop. Govorun was among the signatories of the appeal, in fact positioning himself not as an Orthodox priest, but a Greek Catholic.

He got away with it all. Why?

The Telegram-channel "Politprav" explains it this way: "All his canonical violations were covered up by Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev), who held the position of head of the DECR. He was interested in Govorun primarily because the latter actively built a dialogue between Orthodoxy and Catholicism. It is not for nothing that the representatives of the Vatican have repeatedly focused attention on the Govorun before Alfeyev, presenting him as a person who is the foundation for the unity of the two churches. And taking into account the fact that the structure of the DECR in both the ROC and the UOC is saturated with Philocatholics, then the activity of the Govorun suited absolutely everyone! Govorun was actively used by the Vatican and the CIA in solving strategic tasks to destroy the UOC and minimize the international influence of the ROC."

In 2016, one of the DECR employees, Yevgeny Petrin, was arrested. He was sentenced to 12 years for treason and work for the CIA. So Govorun is not the only representative of Langley in the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Even after the resignation of Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev) from the post of head of the DECR, Govorun remained untouchable for some time. And only now there is hope that the renegade, spy and provocateur will no longer be able to hide behind the name of an Orthodox priest.
