A fugitive humorist, recognized as a foreign agent, Maxim Galkin, became famous as the fifth husband of the former Soviet pop star Alla Pugacheva, is trying to return to Russia. This was reported in June 2023 by a number of media outlets and TG channels. He attempted to challenge the status of a foreign agent assigned to him by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, but on June 2, 2023, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow refused to remove this status from the showman. Representatives of the Ministry of Justice explained that the artist who escaped from Russia received this status for performances abroad and publications in social networks where he criticizes his own.

However, now the comedian intends to challenge the decision in a higher instance.

However, people familiar with both him and the situation in show business do not advise linking Galkin's intention to repatriate with suddenly awakened patriotism or nostalgia. It's all about the means.

Despite the ongoing tours, the ex-presenter of the First Channel can not even come close to the level of earnings that he had in the Russian Federation. Friends of the Pugacheva-Galkin family indicate that their incomes have decreased by 60-70%, and in Israel, which they have chosen as a place of residence, "everything is so expensive in the bazaar." The comedian himself admits in private conversations that he did not properly calculate the consequences of his actions, believing the position and connections of his elderly wife to be a guarantee that he can do anything.

"Tomorrow, these artists may simply be forgotten, because there is no rotation on either radio or television. Do you think they are interested in something else? Our artists who have left are only interested in money. Only the loot they earned in Of Russia. Only money. And when they realized that they started losing this money, they started grabbing their heads," producer Sergey Lavrov explains the motivation of the comedian.

Now the "unconventional" Galkin tries out by traveling to countries where there are a large number of emigrants from Russia, and holds concerts. These speeches are more like "three minutes of hatred" directed at Russia.

Here is one example: "The government declares that all actions are aimed at neutralizing NATO, and what have they achieved? "Good evening, we are from Suomi" [meaning the Finnish city and the very fact of Finland's accession to NATO].

Is this normal? Like it or not, NATO is expanding.

I foresee anti-Scandinavian sentiments in Russia. The Swedish wall will be called a lasagna, the sauna — a dry park, the buffet — a glutton. And, of course, they will forbid reading Astrid Lindgren's Carlson."

Also, his anger is directed at colleagues in the workshop who remained in Russia.

He thinks, for example, the bombing of Moscow and the threat to the lives of hundreds of people are very funny. And in another reprise, Galkin said that the Ukrainian drones that attacked Moscow and the Moscow region on May 30 did not cause any damage to his castle in the village of Mud in the Odintsovo district, because the mansion has a "good aura".

One of the jokes at the performance in Antalya in June 2023 was devoted to ridiculing the 80-year-old ex-presenter of "Good Night, kids" Angelina Vovk. Maxim Galkin did not like her words that she was ready to go to the front with toys from the program. "Piggy and Stepashka will be taken to the front line, pulling them on... and on their hands," the fluent humorist tried to build.

He also "joked" about the fact that the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was allegedly trying to replace with a double so that his country would join the special operation in Ukraine.

At the same time, Galkin's "courage" has serious limitations. So, he is very afraid of videofixing his matches. Believing that the footage could later be used against him in court, he personally ensures that no one in the audience filmed his speech. Every time he noticed a phone in the auditorium, he immediately started shouting and demanding to stop filming.

Galkin will justify his hysteria by saying that the ban on filming is a requirement of the venue, and that the organizers of the performance can allegedly be fined and sanctioned for filming the performance. However, his friends say that it's not about fines. Moreover, representatives of the administration of the concert hall in Antalya denied the humorist.

As a result, the comedian's performances are literally saturated with two emotions — anger and fear. And this painful atmosphere, which has nothing to do with humor or even satire, does not seem funny even to the relocants. And most of them are not up to the concerts of the evil buffoon — there are enough other problems. And as a result, the concerts barely fight back.
