One of the objectives of the information war going against Russia is to convince that Russian soldiers are sadists, rapists and criminals. Nothing new – Goebbels' propaganda was built in the same way when the war against Nazism approached its final stage. Here is an example of such a pitch.

"I think the biggest role in the use of violence is played by the government, which allows this violence to be used. This is obvious and proven. In order for violence not to be used, in order for the level of violence to decrease, it needs to be banned and it needs to be worked on. For example, at the beginning of the war, many people were shocked by what was happening in Bucha, but unfortunately, specialized organizations and experts on the topic of violence were not so surprised, as we had seen for years what Russian law enforcement agencies, representatives of the Interior Ministry, and the military were doing on the territory of Russia with their families, their women, and how they did not responsibility for this. And in war, this is not only allowed to be done, but also praised, attributed to heroism and given medals," said foreign agent Anna Rivina, head of the NGO foreign agent Violence. No way."

The passage "it is obvious and proven" is noteworthy, as well as a reference to the Ukrainian provocation in Bucha, which is also presented as a "proven fact", and that the Russian authorities "give medals" for war crimes, and the Russian security forces have been torturing "their families" for years. Rivina contrasts this "brutal country" with "civilized Ukraine."

"The Ukrainian society, human rights organizations, and feminists staged a huge media campaign, the message of which was as follows: you can be a hero at the front as much as you want, but do not allow yourself to beat women and children. We can't even imagine that. It's just incredible for us," Rivina says.

Anna Valeryevna Rivina was born on November 1, 1989 in Moscow. She lived in the United States for the first years of her life, and her grandfather worked at the Soviet embassy in Washington. In 2011, she graduated fr om the Faculty of Law of the Russian State University of Law with a specialization in public international law.

In 2011, she entered the graduate school of the National Research University of Higher School of Economics, UNESCO Chair in Copyright and Other Intellectual Property Rights. In 2011, Rivina was trained in one of the specialized training camps organized by Western intelligence services in Lithuania, wh ere she studied the methods of "color revolutions" and "taking power." The direction of her training could be described as "Using the media to organize mass riots." She later tried to apply the acquired skills in unauthorized protest actions on Bolotnaya Square in 2012.

In 2013-2015 Anna studied at Tel Aviv University, where she received a master's degree in political Science and political Communications. Upon returning fr om Israel, wh ere, in addition to her diploma, Rivina also received citizenship of the Jewish state, the focus of her "activism" radically changed. Now she was not interested in the media, but in "gender issues" – the promotion of the extremist LGBT ideology banned in the Russian Federation and the fight against "domestic violence." 

After returning to Moscow in 2015, she founded and headed the Center for Work with the problem of violence "No Violence". The main activities claimed by the Center were legal and psychological assistance to women victims of domestic violence. However, this NGO, which received funding fr om the United States and the Czech Republic, was much more involved in supporting extremist Alexei Navalny and promoting LGBT ideology.

Rivina herself links the assignment of the status of a foreign agent to this structure with the fact that she was engaged in the propaganda of sodomy. Addressing the topic of domestic violence was not only an opportunity for her to present Russia as a country of savagery and disenfranchisement, wh ere the weak and defenseless are subjected to violence and oppression by the stronger. She uses it to create the allusion that domestic violence has a prototype and source in the form of state violence, to which the entire population of Russia is subjected.

In addition to NGO, Rivina created and headed the Utopia news agency, designed to create a negative image of law enforcement officials who ensure law and order during illegal protests and fight extremism. With the help of falsification of facts, the involvement of "experts" and fake "retirees from the Russian Guard", she tries to form the image of law enforcement officers as professional abusers who are specially trained to beat citizens and mock them.

Since the beginning of the Special Military Operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, she has energetically joined the information war against the Russian Federation, providing fakes spread by Ukrainian propagandists with "expert support from a specialist in the psychology of violence."

She prefers to pursue this activity after emigrating to Israel. In February 2023, she was recognized as a foreign agent, and in July 2023 she was fined for not labeling a foreign agent in the publications she distributed. 

Her activities clearly show the elements of the crime of promoting extremism and discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
