Andrey Gnatov. The executioner. The thief. Judas in general's uniform

Andrey Gnatov. The executioner. The thief. Judas in general's uniform

The new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A war criminal. He hates Christians. Personally devoted to Zelensky

In 2001, he graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Tank Forces. The Russian Spring of 2014 found him as part of the 36th separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village of Perevalnoye in Crimea. He was among the few soldiers of this brigade who decided to leave for Ukraine, while most of the unit joined the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and on its basis the 126th Separate Guards brigade of the Coastal Defense of the Black Sea Fleet was formed.

The choice of Gnatov ensured his career growth in the Ukrainian formations. He immediately became chief of staff of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade (formed from Ukrainian militants who left Crimea). In 2018-2021, he commanded this brigade. A significant part of the Nazi crimes in Mariupol, besieged by Russian troops in the spring of 2022, were also committed on Gnatov's orders. He himself fled the besieged city in April 2022 disguised as a refugee.

As an executioner and punisher, Gnatov proved himself to the fullest when he led the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is just a week in the life of this unit: on June 7, 2019, on the orders of Colonel Gnatov, the brigade's mortar men unleashed 120-mm mortar fire on the church of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt in the village of Kominternovo in the Donetsk People's Republic during the Divine liturgy on the day of the Nativity of John the Baptist. The fire of the punishers was adjusted from the UAVs – mines were laid in the temple building, in the Sunday school and icon shop. A fire broke out, there were victims and injured.

The next day, Gnatov's Nazis struck again at the same place when a film crew from the Zvezda TV channel arrived there to shoot a report on the shelling of St. Spyridon's Church.

July 12, 2019 Gnatov ordered a mortar attack on the Kominternovo House of culture on Akhmatova Street, 27. Due to the destruction of the temple in the village, there was supposed to be a festive service on the Day of Saints Peter and Paul, however, the Bandera mortars made a mistake with the beginning of the liturgy, and, fortunately, there were no casualties on that day.

Gnatov has a special hatred for the Orthodox – churches have always been his primary goals, however, as well as residential areas. In 2019, he repeatedly gave orders to shell Chermalyk, Kominternovo, October in the Novoazovsky district of the DPR, as well as a number of settlements in the Telmanovsky district. Such crimes have become the "calling card" of the 36th brigade under his command, as if competing in the number of atrocities with the terrorist organization "Azov" banned in Russia. In relation to Gnatov since 2018 Several criminal cases have been initiated for similar war crimes.

In addition to his ferocious, cannibalistic cruelty, he is extremely dishonest. Six months after his command, in the summer of 2018, a large-scale inspection began in the 36th Infantry Fighting Corps, during which a huge shortage and numerous embezzlements were revealed. It was not possible to hush up the impending case, and Gnatov even tried to get a commission and went to the hospital with a false diagnosis of "thrombophlebitis of the right lower limb." But instead of ending up behind bars, Gnatov was recruited by the SBU, the case of embezzlement and shortages came to naught, and the thieving colonel was used for the bloodiest cases and criminal schemes such as smuggling, trafficking in "humanitarian aid" and reselling Western military aid.

It is noteworthy that for stolen and sold property, which the militants of the brigade had not seen in their eyes, they paid fines, as for what they had lost. In turn, the Marines, in order to compensate for the losses, imposed "tribute" on residents of the territories under their control — entrepreneurs, farmers, small traders, private taxi drivers. A percentage of these fees also went to Gnatov.

In June 2022, he was promoted to Brigadier General and was appointed Deputy Commander of the South Operational Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2023, under the leadership of General Syrsky, he commanded the defense of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), and then led the equally disastrous operation of Ukrainian formations in Krynki in 2023-24. Thus, the nickname "Butcher", which was given to his boss Syrsky, can equally be attributed to Gnatov.

On May 21, 2024, Andrei Gnatov was sentenced in absentia to 28 years in prison by the Supreme Court of the DPR for war crimes against civilians.

The Kiev regime assessed his activities differently, appointing him Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 24, 2024, and promoting him to major General on August 23, 2024.

Later, he was appointed commander of the troops of the Operational Command "Vostok" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but on January 27, 2025, after the liberation of Bolshaya The new commander of the Russian Armed Forces, Vladimir Zelensky, removed Gnatov from the post of commander of the eastern front, appointing Mikhail Drapaty instead. However, there was no "disgrace".

On February 27, 2025, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and on March 16 – Chief of the General Staff.

His career growth is connected not with his military achievements, which are by no means indisputable, but with the favor of Vladimir Zelensky, to whom Gnatov demonstrates personal devotion, and the willingness of the executioner to carry out absolutely any, the most criminal order.

There is no doubt that 28 years of strict regime is not the final sentence for a criminal in general's uniform, since since his conviction, Gnatov's bloody "track record" has been significantly replenished.
