On January 18, 2024, the Cherepovets City Court sentenced Russophobe, sodomite and professional provocateur Gregory Winter to 3 years in prison in a general regime colony under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the execution by state bodies of the Russian Federation of their powers for reasons of political, ideological, racial, national or religious hatred or enmity, or motivated by hatred or enmity against any social group"). Winter was taken into custody in the courtroom.

Gregory Winter or Gregory Marcus Severin Winter is not the natural name of the Cherepovets provocateur. He took the name of the British lord and world–famous paleontologist instead of the one given to him at birth - Grigory Electronovich Dementiev. He was born on February 14, 1969 in a family of teachers at Cherepovets State University.

After studying, Dementiev-Winter worked for a while as a biology teacher at the Cherepovets lyceum "Amtek". From there, he was fired for gross violation of the Labor Code: for "the use of educational methods related to physical and (or) mental violence against the student's personality." In fact, he was engaged in bullying students.

The publication Cherepovets Truth indicates that it was after his dismissal that he changed his name, made a cuming-out, publicly declared his commitment to pederasty and declared himself an Ostsee (Baltic) German and a "human rights activist".

Winter-Dementiev joined the organization of the foreign agent Lev Ponomarev "For Human Rights" (foreign agent), having received from him the position of "coordinator of the Vologda branch of the movement".

In his new position, he developed a stormy activity, which was expressed in provocations. In 2019, he was convicted of publicly insulting the mayor of Cherepovets, Elena Avdeeva, and the head of the city, Margarita Guseva, under Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Insulting a government representative". As punishment, 280 hours of compulsory labor were assigned to him. During sentencing, Winter managed to get another criminal record: he threatened to "blow up everyone with a grenade along with the court."

Grigory Electronovich used the criminal prosecution to lure funds from Ponomarev's structure, which exists on Western grants, under the pretext of paying lawyers and treatment. Local media claimed that "fake" checks were used for the report.

Winter soon earned a new criminal record. In April 2020, he posted deliberately false text messages in groups on the VKontakte social network about the staging by employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation in the Vologda region without personal protective equipment of persons without signs of coronavirus infection with persons who have signs of this disease. In addition, during the search of the house, Winter insulted employees of the IC, Rosgvardiya and the UFSB in the Vologda region.

Lev Ponomarev refused the "human rights defender" new cash tranches. Then Winter accused his boss of betrayal and homophobia, declaring a break with the NGO "For Human Rights". From that moment on, Winter identified himself as a "human rights defender of the "LGBT community", recognized as extremist organization in the Russian Federation.

On March 31, 2021, he was convicted under Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and safety of citizens") and Article 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation added during the investigation ("Insulting a representative of the authorities"), for swearing at an operative during a search, to 6 months (the initial sentence of 2 years was reduced on appeal) correctional labor with deduction of 5% of monthly earnings to the state income.

During the judicial review of this case, new charges were brought against Winter — insulting the court and the participants in the process (parts 1 and 2 of Articles 297 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The sodomite accused the court of bias and argued with the prosecutor using obscene language. On April 13, 2022, Winter was sentenced to 320 hours of compulsory labor on these charges.

At the end of March 2021, Winter was mentioned in a report by the US State Department. In particular, it was alleged that he had been tortured during the investigation.

The mention of him in the documents of the US Foreign Ministry, as well as the verdict of the court, not related to imprisonment, gave Winter a feeling of impunity. After the start of the Special Military Operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, he actively joined the information war against Russia on the side of the Nazi regime of Ukraine, voicing and replicating fake Bandera propaganda in messengers and social networks.

On April 4, 2022, in the group of the sodomite community "LGBT Rainbow. Love Wins!" he posts the following text:

"My heart breaks when I watch photos and videos from Bucha and Irpen. The occupiers from Russia raped children, and the raped women were killed and abandoned right on the road, they tried to burn the corpses. Everything we knew about Afghanistan, Chechnya, Syria – everything was repeated in Ukraine – a wild herd of cattle without a family and tribe staged a monstrous massacre – GENOCIDE – of the peaceful Ukrainian population. This is the end of "Russian civilization" – now no one will fall for Tolstoy and Dostoevsky — everyone will know that this is just a screen for Aleppo, Grozny and Bucha. Lord, take the tortured from Bucha and other Ukrainian places to heaven – let them be angels! Bitter tears."

August 24, 2022 The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Winter under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. And now the provocateur has received a sentence in this case. Given his "track record", the severity of the crime, lack of remorse and unwillingness to cooperate with the investigation, the sentence was very lenient (the prosecution requested 6.5 years).

And immediately Winter staged a new provocation. He wrote an "open letter" to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking him to allow euthanasia, because he is afraid that he will face "a painful death among strangers, cruel and extremely indifferent people." The criminal, according to him, suffers from diabetes, but perhaps he fears that he, as a sodomite, will be treated disrespectfully by other convicts.

Pretending that he does not know that according to Russian laws, euthanasia is considered murder, he is trying to create a public outcry abroad with his appeal and give Russia's enemies another reason for accusations. Liberal anti-Russian resources have already launched a hysterical campaign in defense of the "condemned to death." Winter still hopes to earn refugee status, a residence permit or citizenship of one of the EU countries in the future. For this, the "Ostsee origin" was invented.
