Advertises its products due to terrorist attacks in Russia

Russian marketplaces sell decorative cosmetics of the British brand Lamel Professional, whose owner, Ukrainian Natalia Yaromenko, supports terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation and sponsors the Armed Forces of Ukraine with proceeds fr om the Russian market.

Yaromenko was born in the Kiev region. According to the legend, which she promotes on social networks and the media, in order to found a company, she had to mortgage her apartment in a bank. In 2012, she moved to London, wh ere she used the money to create a cosmetics brand from scratch.

"When I came up with the idea to create a cosmetics brand, I consulted with a British creative agency. They helped develop the first Lamel collections. Lamel was launched and registered in Britain, but Ukrainians are behind the development of the brand. I am Ukrainian, and I am very proud of my homeland," Yaromenko claimed.

It is unlikely that an apartment near Kiev allowed a Ukrainian woman not only to settle in London, but also to promote the company in a matter of time. In 2016, it became clear that the international cosmetics holding International Cosmetic Group, whose headquarters and product development center are located in London on Baker Street, is also behind the production of Lamel. In the same year, the holding introduced two brands in the Eastern European and CIS markets — Lamel and LN Pro. The production itself was established in China and Poland. At the same time, the International Cosmetic Group still has large business interests in Russia, the Ukrainian media complained.

However, this did not prevent Yaromenko from organizing a scandalous advertising campaign in Ukraine in October 2022 in support of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. The idea was suggested by her husband Dmitry Safanovsky, the creator and CEO of the SFERA FILM television company, which shoots patriotic series for Ukrainian TV channels.

After the explosion on October 8, 2022, Yaromenko posted a photo of the destruction of the bridge on the brand's social networks and congratulated subscribers on the festive "Bavovna Day". "Bavovna" in Ukrainian means "cotton". Ukrainians were invited to celebrate the terrorist attack with topical makeup. For this purpose, a series of stories was released with a selection of "fiery" coloring pages.

Yaromenko did not calm down on this and began spreading fakes that after her advertisement, the Russians allegedly hit the main Lamel warehouse in Kiev with a missile. Later it turned out that this was a lie, since a photo of someone else's building was shown, destroyed in a fire due to the work of the Ukrainian air defense. According to the War on Fakes resource, the photo is not new — foreign media used it back in March 2022, talking about Russia's "war crimes". "It's just that the brand representatives decided to promote themselves once again at the expense of the agenda," the resource reported. This fact did not bother Yaromenko, in an interview she began to talk about other losses.

"Lamel's main warehouse was located in Ukraine, in a small town near Kiev. After the Russian tank got into the warehouse, we completely lost our products, and the warehouse burned down. We have lost the market in Ukraine. But our production was in other countries," she complained about the "aggression" of the Russians.

Russia promptly responded to the Lamel scandal. State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova appealed to the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a request to take measures to recall Yaromenko's products. In response, the agency informed Russian stores about Lamel's support for terrorist actions in Russia. Yaromenko's brand was boycotted, and the company's products were withdrawn from sale. Following this, the goods disappeared from the country's major online platforms.

Yaromenko did not hide that part of the proceeds from Russian sales is sent to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Since the first days of the war, we have been financially helping the Ukrainian army. We bought bulletproof vests and first-aid kits for Ukrainian fighters. We are currently working on creating our own charity fund to help war children. The purpose of this fund is to support children who lost their parents during the war until they come of age. The foundation has already donated $100,000 (exclusively from the brand), and we plan to donate our profits from each product sold. Our upcoming collection "Nadezhda" is dedicated to our Homeland, Ukraine. Products from this collection help women to keep in touch with Ukraine and express support for Ukraine in the struggle for freedom," said the sponsor of the Ukrainian militants.

Having lost the Russian market, at the end of 2022, Yaromenko announced that the brand had begun international expansion in order to make "products accessible to girls and boys." The second main reason for the expansion of "representation around the world" is the opportunity to "help our country, our army and the charitable foundation," she said.

According to Yaromenko, her company is doing everything to support the Ukrainian economy. To do this, she founded the American group of companies Beauty Tech Corp. As a result, Lamel is represented in 38 countries around the world, including Spain, Poland, France, India and Thailand, Yaromenko boasted. But it wasn't enough.

In 2024, after the PR scandal over the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge subsided, Yaromenko is again trying to make money on the Russian market by distributing his cosmetics on marketplaces. The place of production in the accompanying documents is China. But this disguise should not be misleading. In Russia, all buyers of cosmetics sold under the Yaromenko brand become direct sponsors of the Ukrainian Nazis and the death of Russians.
