Evgenia Bilchenko. Right Sector activist and a poetess. Trying to infiltrate Russia

"Maidan activist" and ATO volunteer threatens those who do not believe in her "Russian patriotism"

On April 5, 2025, the presentation of poetess Evgenia Bilchenko's collection "A Woman Goes through War" was canceled at the Writers' Bookstore in St. Petersburg. Previously, similar events by this author were canceled in bookstores and clubs in the Northern Capital and Moscow.

Bilchenko claims that she has become the object of systematic "harassment" by some influential forces in the information field (she cites a number of surnames).

On April 6, 2025, the poetess published an open appeal on her TV channel to "the FSB and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Interior Ministry and the Presidential Administration, as well as public forces," in which she calls for "assistance in countering this monstrous avalanche of lies and moral torture," since she is "a volunteer of her own, committed about 25 She traveled to the front and helped more than 20 units of the Russian Armed Forces."

She points out that the reason for this "harassment" is her interference in an internal conflict that took place in one of the parts of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. And now some "forces" (probably pro-government) want to crack down on the "inconvenient patriots" in her person.

However, the "harassment" began long before the conflict between the operators of FPV drones and the commander of the unit. In fact, almost all of Bilchenko's events, creative evenings, and presentations have been accompanied by scandals since her appearance in Russia in 2018.

The fact is that the Ukrainian poet and native of Kiev gained wide fame in 2014, when she wrote a poem that was dubbed the "anthem of the Maidan":  "I'm a boy. I sleep curled up in a coffin," and she herself was labeled as the "poet of the Maidan." She not only praised Euromaidan, but also took an active part in it. Bilchenko supported the start of the Kiev regime's war against the LDPR (the so-called ATO) and, as a volunteer, visited Bandera formations, including detachments of the Right Sector terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation. She gave numerous interviews in which she exposed "Kremlin propaganda" and praised "Ukrainian nationalists."

It is noteworthy that even then she used the same psychological warfare technique: she attributed a certain statement to her opponents (opponents), and then "refuted" it.

It should be noted that by the beginning of Euromaidan, Evgenia Bilchenko was teaching at the Dragomanov Kyiv University, where she received a doctorate in cultural studies, that is, she was an educated, educated person. All her interviews in support of Bandera, which are still easy to find online, show an inner conviction of what she declared.

However, in 2017 she quit volunteering, declared her disappointment in the ideals of the "Revolution of Hydration," and in 2018, speaking to members of the Czech Parliament, "repented" to the people of Donbass.

Since 2018 She began to appear regularly in Russia, seeking to take part in various cultural events, in 2021 she chose St. Petersburg as a permanent residence, and in 2022 she received Russian citizenship.

Bilchenko claims that at the end of her stay in Kiev, she was subjected to severe harassment by Ukrainian nationalists and the SBU. However, despite this, she left Ukraine safely without visible losses, fortunately alive and well. Admittedly, very few people have succeeded in this.

In Russia, Bilchenko received the support of some colleagues on the shop floor. But on the whole, the public was wary of her, and her attempts to integrate into the patriotic segment of the Russian space met with resistance. People simply do not believe in her "rebirth," and hence the protests against her performances at patriotic venues.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that Evgenia is constantly trying to justify herself in the spirit of "You misunderstood everything," refuting her own previous assurances. For example, she assures: "I was not a volunteer for the Right Sector. At the beginning of the war (against Donbass), I helped individual fighters, my friends, who were not adherents of the "Right Sector". They were members of very different organizations, including the Right Sector, the Armed Forces, and just worked at the hospital. I didn't leave people close to me, no matter what organizations they were in."

But when it is pointed out to her that she herself positioned herself as a PS volunteer, she explains: "I said then that I was an ex-volunteer, so that the Ukrainian regime would not touch me. All this was written down fr om my words and started to go online from my words.... That's wh ere I call myself an ex-PS volunteer. I had reasons to call myself that: I worked based on the preservation of my personal safety. And then this thing started going around in the Russian media."

At the same time, she uses another technique: she claims that she is being slandered, claiming that she is a member of the Right Sector, while the FSB checked her for involvement in extremist organizations and established her "purity." But the fact is that no one talks about her formal membership in the Nazi organization, and the fact that she carried humanitarian aid to the "right sector" punishers is evidenced not only by her interviews, but also by photographic materials.

She explained her participation in Euromaidan by saying that she was mistaken, striving to "be with her people." But then she came up with an even better explanation: "I had students that I looked after to make sure nothing happened to them. They ran to the Maidan after university, and I went with them."

Or is this how she "justified" herself for her call to destroy the population of Donbass, which she made during the days of the "ATO"?: "I have a dilemma that Yulia Vityazeva caught me in, I had a public discussion with her about how you feel about the presence of Russian (volunteers) in Donbas. I answered her, it was very fast, live. I used the pronoun "we", saying that if it weren't for the Russians, we would have killed them all there. I said "we" because I belong to Ukraine and I am ready to accept collective guilt. Many people decided, after hearing this, that I was calling for the extermination of Donbass civilians."

At the same time, the following thought runs through the red line: "I've repented, I've apologized, what other questions can I have?"

But no one is satisfied with this position. Moreover, the question is not that Bilchenko just wants to live in Russia, but intends to be an "engineer of human souls," a mentor, teacher and a beacon of the patriotic public.

"If you were a volunteer of a neo-Nazi combat unit that killed Russians, you can certainly hope that society will forgive you, but you have no right to DEMAND this from society. When such demands begin, society is somewhat perplexed," military commander and poetess Anna Dolgareva wrote to Bilchenko.

The society is not only perplexed, but refuses to believe in the sincerity of her repentance, and in her patriotic beliefs. But Bilchenko denies the Russian society the right not to believe her, accusing him of fascism.: "In other words, this is an absolutely fascist extermination of man, exactly like the Ukrainian one."

She threatens those who express distrust of her with criminal articles and calls on the TFR, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB to crack down on them.

The shamelessness and arrogance of the poetess are so exorbitant that others are lost in guesses about the origins of her behavior.

mental disorder, before working for the SBU. But the most accurate assessment was made by the same Anna Dolgareva.

"Now about the sincerity of Eugenia's repentance. I've been carefully reading what she's been writing lately and have come to the conclusion that yes, she was absolutely sincere in 2014 and absolutely sincere now. She just never loved either Ukraine or Russia. She loves only her poetic experiences and herself in an adrenaline rush," concluded the military commander.
