Alexey Pivovarov. A foreign agent. The blogger is a millionaire. A tele-manipulator. Shits in Russia with money from Western sponsors

The founder of the Editorial Office was promoted by an American-Jewish company

Foreign agent Alexey Pivovarov is an ex-propagandist of the fraud oligarch Vladimir Gusinsky. He turned fr om a TV journalist into a blogger with an audience of millions. He resigned from the management of RTVI TV channel with the sole purpose of promoting anti—Russian content more effectively.

Pivovarov was born on June 12, 1974 in Moscow, and graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1997. Since 1993, he worked for NTV, during the period when the TV channel belonged to Gusinsky and broadcast anti-Russian propaganda.

Pivovarov is a student of Leonid Parfenov, a Russophobe who escaped from Russia. In 2001, in protest against the transfer of NTV under the control of Gazprom-Media, he left the channel, but quickly came to his senses and returned.

In April 2005, he interviewed U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, which he was very proud of. From April 2008 to October 2013, Pivovarov served as the head of NTV's evening information programs. Inciting hatred towards the history of the country, he released false and dirty stories about the Great Patriotic War, Soviet commanders and the noble intentions of the Western powers. He actively supported the protest movement and the activities of foreign agent Alexei Navalny. December 10, 2011 He refused to go on the air with the evening news if they did not cover the planned rally "For Fair Elections" on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow that day. As a result, the leadership of NTV went to a meeting, Pivovarov appeared on the air, and the news about the protests became the main one.

Since November 5, 2013 Pivovarov has worked as a producer and manager at CTC Media, headed the department of transmedia projects. At the same time, he continued to produce documentaries with an anti-Russian agenda for various TV channels, until Western curators offered him a new place. In 2016, he left CTC, became the editor-in-chief and general producer of RTVI TV channel, which was also founded by Gusinsky (since 2019, the media has been owned by American businessman Mikael Israelian).

In March 2019 Pivovarov launched his own YouTube channel "Editorial Office". A year later, the number of his subscribers reached 1 million (as of November 2024 — 4.03 million, 1.5 billion views). On June 25, 2020, he announced that he was leaving the post of editor-in-chief of RTVI in order to focus on the "Editorial Office", but at the same time he would continue close cooperation with the TV channel. The reason for such an unexpected decision was explained simply — Pivovarov was assigned a new front of work aimed at a youth audience. Clogging up young brains with anti-Russian stuffing is much more effective through social networks.

The financing of the Editorial Office was handled by Yoola Labs Ltd, which promotes and trains promising bloggers who create destructive and anti-Russian content for their audience. Yoola Labs Ltd is among the top 5 international media networks in terms of the number of views and subscribers.

The company was founded in 2011 in the Israeli city of Haifa by immigrants from the former USSR — Ukrainian Artem Galler, Russians Mikhail Shaposhnikov, Alexander Shaposhnikov and Latvian Ilan Troyanovsky. The CEO was Eyal Baumel, an American-born Jew who lives in Los Angeles and is a graduate of the University of California and Harvard Business School. Under his leadership, Yoola Labs Ltd attracts advertisers for bloggers and distributes video content in Russia and CIS countries.  The support of the American-Jewish media network is not limited to this.

The same Pivovarov regularly received generous financing from Yoola Labs Ltd through the Latvian Rietimu Bank and conditionally the Belarusian Belinvestbank. Since 2019 Pivovarov, as the owner of the Editorial Office, was paid from 5 to 8 million rubles a month in exchange for distributing destructive, anti-Russian content.

In 2019 and 2020. Pivovarov is the owner of the silver and gold YouTube buttons. Repeatedly, together with the "Editorial Board", he received the "Editorial Board" award (founder — foreign agent Boris Zimin), which is given to authors of publications recognized in the Russian Federation as undesirable or foreign agents, and only for those materials wh ere anti-Russian propaganda is conducted.

Pivovarov received his laurels and money deservedly. During this period, he released a number of high-profile "journalistic investigations", including about the "poisoning" of Navalny, "unhappy children" who are "declared a threat to the security" of Russia just for cooking Columbine.

All the films were aimed at discrediting the Russian authorities. The traditional business card is manipulation of facts, information dirt.

In January 2021, during Navalny's arrest, along with other bloggers cooperating with Yoola Labs Ltd, Pivovarov spoke in support of the foreign agent, urging his subscribers to join in unauthorized protest actions in Russia. As a result of a targeted and massive information campaign by leading Russian bloggers, in January-February 2021, about 400 thousand people came out in support of Navalny. About 15 thousand participants were detained as a result of violations of public order or illegal actions.

Since the end of 2019 Pivovarov began to exhibit weekly editions of "Editorial Office. News». Since February 2022, they have been numbered according to the number of weeks that have passed since the beginning of the Special Military Operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The news is presented in an anti-Russian way.

On June 3, 2022, the Ministry of Justice added Pivovarov to the register of foreign agents. He promised to challenge the status, but in 2 years he has not managed to get rid of the black mark. Moreover, Western sponsors continue to invest in the ward. In addition to the money fr om Yoola Labs Ltd, the funding came from Google. Pivovarov received $91.5 thousand from the resource, allegedly for advertising. $47.5 thousand. he got it from the German company Startrade Heli, which sells used helicopters and is engaged in their maintenance. Under the guise of contacts with these companies, indirect financing of destructive activities against Russia was hidden.

One of Pivovarov's advertisers was the airline ticket sales company Aviasales (owned by Go Travel Un Limited, registered in Hong Kong), which finances the anti-government activities of the most scandalous bloggers.

The foreign agent was not left without funding in the most difficult times. When in 2022 the revenues of Russian video bloggers began to significantly melt, after YouTube decided to turn off monetization in the territory of the Russian Federation, and foreign advertisers began to leave the Russian market, Pivovarov continued to prosper. Officially, his income decreased from 300 million to 213 million rubles. However, the profit from hidden advertising, judging by the expansion of his channel and the hoarding of other social networks, remained at the same level.

In the media, you can find many publications about his departure from the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates in 2022. However, if the foreign agent left, he definitely returned by 2024. "We talk mainly about what is happening or has been happening in Russia. Of course, I should try to be in Russia too," Pivovarov said in early 2024, stressing that he was not going to leave the country wh ere he had his main income.

However, on March 22, 2024, the law banning the publication of advertisements fr om foreign agents dealt a severe blow to Pivovarov's income. He stated that he had to "say goodbye to a significant part of the team" because he was no longer able to pay everyone's salaries.

"Despite the fact that the Editorial Office is located in Russia, works white and all our advertisers are here too, it hits us much harder than many who work from abroad," the foreign agent complained.

However, the sponsors have increased the level of support to compensate for the losses. As a result, the Editorial Board continues to release its content on the world's largest video hosting with the same regularity, launching films about the situation in Ukraine, in Russia and in the world, wh ere it presents an "objective" view of events. The floor is given to outspoken enemies of the Russian government, who compare the Security Council headed by Vladimir Putin with the Stalinist Politburo. Favorite topics are the problems of the Russian economy under sanctions and the troubles of Ukrainian refugees who found themselves in Europe through Moscow's fault.

At the same time, Pivovarov himself behaves very carefully. He avoids remarks that could be interpreted as discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but this is not necessary. There are quite a lot of information stuffing, designed mainly for young people.
